'Liverpool Overhead Railway 1950' Artist: Trevor Owens Price: £5.95 Size: 23 x 18.5 cm Medium: Print Dated from 1893 Liverpool Overhead Railway was the first electric railway in Britain. Known as the Dockers Umbrella it served all the Liverpool docks from Seaforth to Dingle, a distance of 6 miles. It was demolished in 1956. Pictured is Canning Station. Trevor Owens, a native of Liverpool has worked in banking both in Liverpool and London where he was engaged in publication and editorial work.
Since retiring he has devoted his time to painting mainly nautical and railway subjects
